Overview

The Afton Downs Homeowners Association, Inc. (ADHA) was incorporated in 1986 when the builder completed the subdivision and turned it over to property owners. Our goals are to maintain an attractive neighborhood by enforcing the restrictive covenants set forth by the community and to increase property values.

Membership in the ADHA is voluntary but extremely important. Owning a home is the most important investment you will probably ever make. To maintain and protect that investment, we have an association with dedicated board members who donate their time and efforts to ensure increased property values and to make sure that you get top dollar when you sell your property. Also, the Association works hard to improve the standard of living for residents in Afton Downs. The ADHA brings neighbors together to support our common goals, interests, and community values. Together we will continue to improve our neighborhood.

The Afton Downs Homeowners Association needs your financial support to maintain our subdivision. We hope you will join us by sending the yearly dues to the treasurer today! Membership dues are $25 per year. You can mail or hand-deliver your membership dues to our Treasurer, Faye First, at 5028 Bell Drive. Please make your twenty-five-dollar checks payable to the Afton Downs Homeowners Association.

As a member, you will be able cast a vote in the business of Afton Downs. The Association meets once yearly (generally at the Smyrna library), and the funds collected are used for the maintenance of the entrance and entrance islands; for the purchase of landscape supplies; for the yearly renewal of State incorporation fees; to publish the community newsletter; for the purchase of office supplies; for postage; and for miscellaneous expenses. Board members are elected each July at the end of our fiscal year.

If you have special area of expertise or interest, we welcome your help. Please contact us if you would like to serve on one of the committees. We look forward to getting to know you and invite your participation in the activities of the ADHA.

The ADHA board is made up of a group of homeowners in the subdivision who volunteer their time to the community free of charge.

We Need your Membership Support! Membership Dues are only $25 per year.
